WHO WE ARE

WHO WE ARE

The goal of United Way’s Young Leaders Society (YLS) is to promote and encourage philanthropy and volunteerism among the young leaders of our California Capital Region. Individuals 40 years of age or younger, contributing a combined annual gift of $100 or more to United Way CCR, may join Young Leaders Society.

WHY JOIN?

Young Leaders Society provides community involvement and personal development opportunities to its members. The group offers multiple avenues to become involved with United Way initiatives, to directly make a difference in people’s lives, and to ultimately become leaders in the community.

2021 GOALS

2020 GOALS

Young Leaders Society presents a two-pronged focus of outreach among the community. First, engagement in this group allows young professionals to create an impact in the community with volunteer/service projects. Secondly, members of YLS plan, promote, and execute a community-wide fundraiser, which provides a financial impact to the United Way’s overall community campaign.

The great news is that once qualified to join, members do not have any expected requirements. You can sign up for multiple service projects, attend events, network with fellow YLS members, take advantage of professional development, or simply be recognized as a Young Leader.
